Description
Offered is a proto-type helmet from the Star Trek film "First Contact". It was not used in the movie. It however, is an original prototype design, created by the same folk who made the film-featured helmets, and does not differ much from them. It was purchased from Profiles In History auction firm during their Hollywood Memorabilia Auction #21, catalogue page 134: "375.Prototype space helmet from "Star Trek: First Contact." (Paramount, 1996) Hand-scored ABC plastic shell with clear plastic face shield, made for the production and intended for use by Picard and Worf on the outside of the Enterprisee, when the Borg attempt to commandeer the Interplexing Beacon. This helmet design was ultimately not used on screen, but was created and presented as one of the designs for consideration."The front visor is loose, There are NO plexiglass inserts on the top or back. The grey inner lining is loose. It has several marks from handling, but they do not detract. I was going to 'fix' it, but chose not to, so it is in the condition I acquired it.Photos show the helmet, an example of the screen-used helmet, and the page from the auction catalogue on which it appears. It comes with the auction/lot tag, and all paper work I have on it.I accept PayPal ONLY. ...and ship only UPS to Continental USA. I will pay insurance coverage up to closing price.
